This Cookie Policy describes the cookies and tracking technologies used by the showbizinc.it Platform, their purposes and how you can manage or withdraw your consent. It is provided pursuant to Article 122 of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 (Privacy Code), Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and the guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante) on cookies.

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that the websites you visit save on your device, where they are stored to be sent back to the same websites on your next visit. Similar technologies (web beacons, pixels, identifiers and local storage) perform comparable functions. Cookies may be first-party (set by the Data Controller) or third-party (set by external providers), and may be session cookies (deleted when the browser is closed) or persistent cookies (which remain until they expire or are removed).

3. Types of cookies used
The site uses three categories of cookies, which can be managed through the consent banner:
- Necessary cookies (technical): essential for the operation and security of the site, and to store your cookie choices. They do not require consent and are always active.
- Analytics cookies: they help us understand, in aggregate form, how the site is used, in order to improve it. They are activated only with your consent.
- Marketing cookies: they would be used to display relevant communications and ads and to measure their effectiveness. They are activated only with your consent.

4.2 Analytics cookies (subject to consent)
We use Google Analytics 4, loaded via Google Tag Manager, to analyse site usage in aggregate form. Analytics cookies are set only after your consent; in the absence of consent, thanks to Google’s “Consent Mode”, only aggregated, cookieless measurements are sent.

4.3 Marketing cookies (subject to consent)
The site currently does not use any active third-party advertising, remarketing or tracking pixels (e.g. Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn). The “Marketing” category is in place and managed through Google Consent Mode: the related signals (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) remain disabled unless you consent. Should advertising features be introduced in the future, the related cookies (for example Google’s _gcl_au) will be set only with your prior consent and this Cookie Policy will be updated accordingly.
5. Legal basis and consent management
Necessary cookies are installed on the basis of the Data Controller’s legitimate interest in providing a secure and functioning site (Art. 122 of the Privacy Code: no consent required). Analytics and marketing cookies are installed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 122 of the Privacy Code), collected through the cookie banner.
On your first visit, the banner lets you Accept all cookies, Reject them or Customise your choice for each category. Accept and Reject have equal graphic prominence; simply closing or scrolling the page does not constitute acceptance. Your choice is stored in the technical cookie sbz_consent for 180 days; we keep a record of it for accountability purposes. Consent management is integrated with Google Consent Mode v2, so that tracking tags are activated only in line with your preferences.
You can change or withdraw your choices at any time using the “Cookie preferences” 🍪 button always available on the site. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

Some cookies are managed by third-party providers, which act as independent controllers or processors according to their respective policies:

The use of Google services may involve a transfer of data outside the European Economic Area. In such cases the transfer takes place in compliance with the GDPR, on the basis of adequacy decisions of the European Commission or appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses).
7. Retention period
Each cookie has the duration indicated in the tables in section 4. Consent preferences (sbz_consent) are kept for 180 days, after which the banner is shown to you again. Data collected by analytics cookies is retained according to the periods set by the relevant Google Analytics service.
8. How to manage or disable cookies in your browser
In addition to the consent banner, you can manage or delete cookies already installed through your browser settings. Disabling necessary cookies may impair the proper functioning of the site. Instructions for the most common browsers:

As a data subject you have the right to access your data, request its rectification or erasure, restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw at any time the consent you have given. This Cookie Policy is versioned and may be updated to reflect changes to services, to the technologies used or to the legal framework. In the event of material changes you will be informed and, where necessary, asked for renewed consent. We invite you to review this page periodically.
